Audits
Purpose
Before you commit to a strategy or plan, do you know whether you have done all the things you reasonably can to give yourself the best chance of success?
Our audit tools are here to help you create plans that stack the odds in your favour, by creating evidence and impetus to your plans and decisions. To inform these audits, we've crunched through thousands of sources on the drivers of organisational success, failure and performance - present and past - and distilled the findings down into a series of self-assessment tools that you can use to get the evidence about where you sit in the world, what opportunities and risks you face, and what steps are next.

How it works
Benefits
1. Replace gut feel with structured evidence Senior leaders in SMEs and early-stage companies often make strategic calls based on experience and instinct alone — which works until it doesn't. Your tools give them a repeatable, evidence-grounded audit process that surfaces blind spots managers didn't know they had, and gives something defensible to act on.
2. Academic rigour made practically accessible The underlying frameworks — market orientation, dynamic capabilities, future readiness — are well-validated in serious research, but inaccessible in their raw form to most practitioners. These tools translate that rigour into something a leadership team can use, without needing a strategy consultant or an MBA to interpret it.
3. A common language for the leadership team One of the underrated benefits of a structured audit is that it creates shared vocabulary and a shared picture of the organisation's position. Rather than each function having a different intuition about what the business does well or poorly, the leadership team aligns around the same data — which makes strategic conversations faster, less political and clearer.
4. Identify where to invest before committing resources For SMEs and founders, misallocated investment is an existential risk, not just an inefficiency. The tools help leaders understand whether, for example, their underperformance is a market intelligence problem, a capability reconfiguration problem, or a workforce readiness problem — so they direct limited resource at the right lever, not the most visible one.
5. Build investor and board confidence A founder or director who can walk into a funding conversation or board meeting with structured self-assessment data - showing they understand their strategic weaknesses and have a plan - signals maturity, integrity and credibility. The audit outputs become artefacts that support governance, not just internal planning.
6. Track progress, not just position A one-off strategy review dates quickly. Because these tools are repeatable audit instruments, leaders can run them at intervals to track whether their interventions are actually moving the dial - turning strategy from a periodic event into an ongoing, evidence-based discipline.
7. You can be set up in 15 minutes: No long-winded consultancy set up times and costs. You can set this up in 15 minutes. If you get your people lined up to answer this, then you might even be done and dusted in a few hours, and be ready to use the results in tomorrow morning's meeting! (Generally, though, you can get meaningful, impactful insight in a few days).
1. Sign in: Log in to the app with an email and set a password
2. Choose the evaluation you want to do. Enter payment details.
3. Set up profile: You can enter key business information, like location, size, current performance and key strategic priorities - this will contextualise your results. If you don't want to, that's fine, just skip this stage.
4. Upload participants: Enter or upload the emails of staff who you want to complete the survey. You can assign employees to different "groups" that you can name based on your interest (e.g. a business unit, type of role etc). However, you must have at least 6 people in each group to preserve anonymity.
5. Press "Go" when ready. The app delivers the survey, nudges respondents on responess, and tells you how many people have completed en route. You can choose to end the survey at a set time and date, or after a certain number of completions.
6. Download: Once done, your report is produced in downloadable PDF form with an Excel spreadsheet so that you can easily show the results in your own presentations or reports, as you set about addressing the finding in your plans.
